1. Who we are

Groundwork is a product of KINTAL Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our VAT registration number is 511370729. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in these terms refer to KINTAL Ltd.

2. What Groundwork does

Groundwork is a digital service that generates personalised AI governance documents for businesses based on answers provided in a guided questionnaire session. Documents are delivered as Word documents (.docx) attached to your delivery email.

The documents generated by Groundwork are practical starting points based on current UK and EU regulatory guidance. They do not constitute legal advice. If your situation involves regulated sectors, significant international exposure or high-risk AI use, you should seek advice from a qualified solicitor before relying on the documents for compliance purposes.

3. Using the service

To use Groundwork you must be at least 18 years old and acting on behalf of a business or in a professional capacity. Groundwork is not a consumer product.

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the answers you provide. The quality of the documents generated depends on the accuracy of your inputs. We accept no liability for documents generated based on inaccurate or incomplete answers.

4. Purchasing documents

Prices are displayed excluding VAT. VAT at the current UK rate (20%) will be added at checkout. A VAT invoice will be issued for all purchases.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

5. Digital content and your right to cancel

Groundwork generates and delivers digital content immediately on payment. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that: the service consists of digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium; delivery begins immediately on payment; and you lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once the digital content has been delivered to you.

By ticking the confirmation checkbox at checkout, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost on delivery.

6. Refunds

We will issue a full refund if your documents were not delivered due to a technical failure on our part and we are unable to deliver them within 24 hours of your purchase.

Once documents have been successfully delivered, we do not offer refunds as a matter of course. If you believe the documents do not accurately reflect the answers you provided, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will first offer to regenerate your documents. If you remain dissatisfied after regeneration, we may at our discretion offer a partial refund of 50% of the purchase price.

7. Intellectual property

The document templates, question set, underlying methodology and all content generated by Groundwork are the intellectual property of KINTAL Ltd.

Once documents are delivered to you, you have a perpetual licence to use them for your own internal business purposes. You may not resell, sublicence or distribute the documents as your own product.

Your session data and answers remain yours. We do not claim any rights over the information you provide.

8. Data and privacy

How we collect, use and retain your data is set out in our Privacy Policy. Please read it before using the service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KINTAL Ltd's total liability to you in connection with Groundwork is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

We are not liable for: any decision made by you or your business in reliance on the documents generated; any regulatory penalty, legal claim or compliance failure arising from your use of the documents; or any indirect or consequential loss of any kind.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
